cilantro-thai-kitchen

quote Last minute booking the day after Boxing Day. Couldn't be happier with the service or the food. Thai is our go to option when eating out and I cannot remember ever having a superior meal. The chef came out to explain the specials which we chose. The balance of the flavours and spice was impressive. We will definitely be back. $85.00 for 3 courses for two people. Five stars.

indian-lounge

quote The food was delicious and well cooked, 5 stars for Chicken Tikka Masala and Barra Kebab Masala (lamb cutlets) and maybe 3 stars for the Beef Korma. Tender and lovely flavours with a subtle heat for medium spice. One star off for the decor and experience eating in. Basic, but service wasn't too warm/personal. Portion size was on the smaller side. The naan bread was tasty, but the mango lassi was thick and not as refreshing as other places. Very busy with many people picking up takeaway orders.

quote The most beautiful food. If you’re looking for Indian cuisine in the eastern suburbs - dining here is a must! Recommend the onion bhaji!

jalan-alor-mitcham

quote First, the obvious thing: this place is a value play. Where else can you get this much food for the prices they charge? But how does it taste? The food is nothing to shout about. The saving grace is that their sambal is pretty good. Other than that, it was pretty meh! And service? Nonexistent. To be expected. But to make things worse, even after repeating my order THREE times (asked for curry fish fillet bee hoon, not the regular white soup one), they still got it wrong!!! Seriously? Then it took more than 30 mins to get our food with appetizer coming last. I mean does nasi lemak take 30mins??? And it was pretty clear that they were prioritising takeaways because the guy after me got his food 15 mins before me. Nope - not worth the hassle even at the attractive prices.

kambo-chinese-restaurant

quote Kambo is a traditional Cantonese restaurant. Old school in a good nostalgic way. We had crab noodles and ‘Chinese ham’ and both were delicious. Crab was fresh and full of meat, noodles were done nicely with lots of gravy. Chinese ham and jellyfish dish was tasty and smelled strongly of sesame oil. Service was extremely polite and friendly. To top it off we got free ‘tong suit’ and fruit after. Very nice experience, feels like the Chinese restaurants of my childhood. Best of all it was well priced for what we ate. Highly recommended.

taste-cantonese

quote This meal was absolutely incredible! The crab congee in the bubbling clay pot tasted so rich, creamy and comforting — perfect for ordering in winter. The marbled beef slices were stunningly fresh and beautifully presented, just melted in your mouth after swishing in hotpot. And the fish was so delicate and tender which is a great choice for hotpot. What a delicious spread! I also loved the vibe of this place — the decor was elegant and cozy, with a nice mix of traditional and modern touches. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Service was smooth and fast, and they made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!
