alchester-pizza-and-pasta

quote The pizzas are delicious and soft, the serves are huge so you might not need as many you think. Very overly processed meat though but that’s what people like right.

quote Not only are the pizza's tasty, they are full of toppings and they are very accommodating for changes including dietary requirements. Why stop at pizza, there pasta is just as good. Would highly recommend Daniel and his team for those dinners for busy families or nights when you have had a big day.

jalan-alor-mitcham

quote Jalan Alor is one of the newer Malaysian restaurants, which also comes highly recommended by some, although reading some of the reviews it seems everyone's experiences can be quite mixed. Our summary: The Good 👍 - Cheap dishes at $10 for most and $15.50 for noodles. 💰 - Serving size is average, so fairly good value for money. 🍽️ - Authentic Kopitiam vibe - The CKT was actually quite decent with wok hey The OK - The Sawarak Kolo mee was just a lot of noodles 🍜 with some meat, no veggies. I guess for $10 I can't complain but here I am writing about this. - Fish head curry was decent. - the Satay had a different peanut sauce flavour than what we would normally have elsewhere. Not bad, just different. The bad 😞 - The KL Hokkien mee wasn't great. Too sweet and had a very very fishy (squid) after taste. Also took about 30mins to come. - the Sweet Chee Chong Fun was again very sweet but and the noodles were stuck together and hard in some places. Tbh if not for the stuck hard noodles this dish would have been ok to good. Overall, if you are looking for cheap Malaysian eats and aren't too fussed on quality, this place is worth a try. If you want something which is actually good, there are many other places in and around east of Melbourne!

taste-cantonese

quote This meal was absolutely incredible! The crab congee in the bubbling clay pot tasted so rich, creamy and comforting — perfect for ordering in winter. The marbled beef slices were stunningly fresh and beautifully presented, just melted in your mouth after swishing in hotpot. And the fish was so delicate and tender which is a great choice for hotpot. What a delicious spread! I also loved the vibe of this place — the decor was elegant and cozy, with a nice mix of traditional and modern touches. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Service was smooth and fast, and they made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

quote Myself and two others came here for some yum cha. The food was absolutely beautiful and the servings quite large (we all left very full and very happy). The service was great - fast and cheerful and the price was very reasonable for everything we got. 10/10, will be back again
