Stopped in randomly and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and reasonably priced. Excellent fresh burger with crispy chips. My friend had the Philly cheese steak sanga and loved it. To top it off I accidentally left my phone there on an outside table, the friendly staff grabbed it before I even called them about it, and kept it safe for me behind the counter. I’ll definitely be coming back. Awesome find in Reservoir.

I found this little gem without any expectations. It felt like walking into someone's house who is keen to cook for me. The elderly man was most likely the owner who seemed like a humble human being with culinary skill. He helped us order and we were rapt with the dishes. The lamb ding ding noodles was just filling and flavourful. I surely want to try the other dishes next time and on top of that he was kind enough to let me try the Yoghurt drink for free! I just couldn't thank him enough for the hospitality.

We live in Greensborough, but we happily make the drive past several other shops just to come here—it is well worth the extra few minutes. ​The most impressive thing about Macleod Fish & Chips is their consistency. Whether it’s a busy Friday night or a quiet Tuesday, the food is always fresh, crisp, and never oily. The quality of the fish is top-tier, and the potato cakes and chips are easily some of the best in the area. ​Beyond the food, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit. Great food, excellent service, and a local business that clearly takes pride in what they do. ​5 stars all the way!

Early February I passed by Muzzy’s Kebab and Grill and saw some food images on the front window. Curious I went it and ordered Chicken Biryani with rice. Wow, it is divine. It tastes heavenly. When I first tried it I couldn’t wait until the following day to go in and get some more. Since then every weekend I make sure to pop in and order that very same dish 2-4 at a time as I travel all the way from Camberwell. To top it all off the lady who I believe may be the owner greets you with the warmest smile. I call her mummy because this restaurant makes food just like my beautiful mum made it. A must try, I just came home with my 2 packs of Chicken Biryani rice and I feel so Blessed. A highlight of my weekend. 10/10, 100/100. ‘Wow’ forwards and ‘Wow’ backwards. Any other word you can think of please help me to use it to Bless this amazing homely and warm place known as Muzzy’s Kebab and Grill. I highly recommend it!

Solid value, generous portions, with room for small improvements I had a really enjoyable meal at Nan Yang Express Hawthorn. I especially liked the braised pork trotter rice, which was rich and comforting, as well as the fish fillet thin noodles, clean in flavour and very satisfying. The portion sizes are generous, and with most dishes sitting around $20 per person, this place strikes a very reasonable balance between value for money and taste. It’s not flashy food, but it’s honest, filling, and well executed. The food was served very quickly, which was a big plus — though this may also be because we were among the first customers to arrive. That said, there is some room for improvement in the dining experience. I had to spend a bit of time finding the menu, as no one introduced the ordering process, and cutlery was self-serve in a designated area, which wasn’t explained either. Once you know the system it’s fine, but clearer guidance would make the first visit smoother. Overall, still a solid and affordable option, and definitely worth a try, especially if you enjoy comforting, no-nonsense meals.
