I found this little gem without any expectations. It felt like walking into someone's house who is keen to cook for me. The elderly man was most likely the owner who seemed like a humble human being with culinary skill. He helped us order and we were rapt with the dishes. The lamb ding ding noodles was just filling and flavourful. I surely want to try the other dishes next time and on top of that he was kind enough to let me try the Yoghurt drink for free! I just couldn't thank him enough for the hospitality.

We live in Greensborough, but we happily make the drive past several other shops just to come here—it is well worth the extra few minutes. ​The most impressive thing about Macleod Fish & Chips is their consistency. Whether it’s a busy Friday night or a quiet Tuesday, the food is always fresh, crisp, and never oily. The quality of the fish is top-tier, and the potato cakes and chips are easily some of the best in the area. ​Beyond the food, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit. While a patient at the Box Hill Hospital, after visiting hours, my family went to dinner four nights in a row at this nearby Pho Phuong Viet restaurant. Last week when I returned to Box Hill for a checkup, my husband was happy to finally take me. I was impressed with the pot of hot tea on the table, vegetarian pho and the vegetarian rolls in rolled lettuce. My husband had the pho special and nothing makes him happier than finishing a meal with the three colours dessert. We received a discount for paying in cash, the service was excellent and ingredients were fresh.

$6 scored us two very large scoops of chips that were fresh and nicely seasoned with chicken salt. Cannot fault it at all. Thank you! We have frequented this place a few times and the food is decent. We love that they use animal fat here much better than vegetable oil.

Very tasty food and beautiful, quiet premises where you can enjoy your food and have a conversation. Wife had the seafood pho with flat noodles. There was so much I had to help her finish. Delicious! I had pork chop on broken rice with the works. Very tasty, and I liked it alot, but it would have been even better with runny egg yolk. Prices were very reasonable. Was impressed that they automatically brought out a chilled beer glass without having to ask!
