After a long day of sightseeing around Robe, we were craving a comforting, succulent Chinese meal—and Dragon Village absolutely delivered.
The restaurant features a large, open-plan dining area with plenty of seating, making it an easy and welcoming spot to settle into. We were greeted with a complimentary bowl of prawn crackers, a nice touch to start the meal.
For entrée, I opted for the classic chicken and corn soup—hot, smooth, and exactly what I needed. For mains, we shared a spread of special fried rice, lemon chicken, beef in black bean sauce, and satay chicken. Every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully cooked, and served in just the right portion size—filling without being over the top.
To round things off, I couldn’t resist a cheeky fried ice cream ball for dessert—a sweet and nostalgic finish to a great meal.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and easygoing, adding to the relaxed dining experience. All in all, Dragon Village ranks right up there with some of the best Chinese food I’ve had.So if you’re in Robe and feeling over the usual pub grub, do yourself a favour and head to Dragon Village. You won’t be disappointed.
