Probably the best takeaway food my husband and I have tasted! It was close to closing time when we went there, but nothing was too much trouble and everything tasted fresh and home cooked. The chips were dry, crispy and delicious, the burgers were full to bursting and the pineapple fritters were amazing. So lucky to find this just metres down the road from our Airbnb. The only downside is we are home in Hobart now and don't think they will deliver down here! Great job Ambleside Takeaway, you should be proud of yourselves.

This is old school service, great prices and great food. We were blown away by how lovely the staff were and equally happy with the quality.
We ordered 2 x kids cheeseburger meals and one steak sw to share, plus a dim sim. Everything was delicious but they forgot the dimsim. It was no worries though as we decided to eat in the Cafe. To remedy the mistake they gave us 2x dim Sims instead of the 1 we initially ordered. If you are in the area definitely pay this place a visit. Amazing!!

Came to pick up some dinner, two burgers and some chips. Quick service and the people are really nice! Great value for the size of burgers, chips were delicious with chicken salt! Would come again!
