Order Food in hallam

First arriving to Berwick. this restaurant is brilliant, good service, clean shop, food was fantastic, my daughter loved the braised noodle soup so much(the broth was flaversome , noodle just cooked right) The braised beef brisket rice was full of flavor too. Just loved it.

​I absolutely loved my meal at JV's Kusina The food truly has incredible character. Everything was so delicious, especially the Kare kare, bbq, bulalo, pinakbet, sisig and pusit. It was outstanding. Highly recommend!

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on 24th April 2025 and ordered a Roast Chicken Kotthu, Nasi Goreng, and Lump Rice. We were honestly shocked by the portion sizes—in the best way! This was the first time we’ve seen a Sri Lankan restaurant where one dish was more than enough for two adults. We only managed to finish two dishes and took the third home. The taste? Absolutely unmatchable. I don’t think I’m creative enough to express just how happy we were. The food had that authentic, homemade taste that brought back memories—and I can confidently say none of the big names in Melbourne come close to the talent here. We were so delighted, we even ordered dinner from the same place later that day! And because we felt so grateful, my wife asked the friendly staff at the counter if we could meet the chef. A couple of minutes later, we were lucky enough to meet Nirmala—the incredible person behind the food that made our day (and especially our kids’ day). Nirmala, you have truly blessed hands. We’ve never felt this satisfied with a food experience in Melbourne. Thank you so much! This place is highly recommended to anyone who wants to try authentic Lankan cuisine.

Humble restaurant perfect for takeout Asian food. If you’re craving good Asian food on a budget, this place is perfect. Portion sizes are alright. The restaurant itself doesn’t have a lot of seating available but seems to be very popular with the locals as I saw a lot of UberEats and takeout orders.

Nestled in between shops near the station. A simple yet homely place serving halal Malaysian options. The lady serving was very sweet and helped with my order. I really loved the fried chicken because of all the flavours of the spice. The serving portion was really filling for the price. The only thing will be to reduce sugar in the drinks. I will recommend this for anyone who's happy to eat a simple malay dish in a homely environment.

Tried the mix fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. Generous portions with a perfect balance of flavours, well-cooked rice, and a great mix of meats and vegetables. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not oily at all. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Definitely one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve had highly recommended!
