This little Chinese take away restaurant is an absolute gem 😊 Garlic & Chilli prawns on rice is our favorite! Run by a very experienced husband and wife team who bring over 40 years experience in Cantonese cuisine. Thank you team👏

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on 24th April 2025 and ordered a Roast Chicken Kotthu, Nasi Goreng, and Lump Rice. We were honestly shocked by the portion sizes—in the best way! This was the first time we’ve seen a Sri Lankan restaurant where one dish was more than enough for two adults. We only managed to finish two dishes and took the third home. The taste? Absolutely unmatchable. I don’t think I’m creative enough to express just how happy we were. The food had that authentic, homemade taste that brought back memories—and I can confidently say none of the big names in Melbourne come close to the talent here. We were so delighted, we even ordered dinner from the same place later that day! And because we felt so grateful, my wife asked the friendly staff at the counter if we could meet the chef. A couple of minutes later, we were lucky enough to meet Nirmala—the incredible person behind the food that made our day (and especially our kids’ day). Nirmala, you have truly blessed hands. We’ve never felt this satisfied with a food experience in Melbourne. Thank you so much! This place is highly recommended to anyone who wants to try authentic Lankan cuisine.

It was a quiet evening and the restaurant also 'seemed' quiet, even though the cooking station was bustling with online orders (probably). Since this was my first time, i just got a Lemon Chicken and Fried rice take away from them. The service was good. The person behind the counter was pro-active and really helpful when i wanted to know about the meal combos/choices etc. It was welcoming. The food, was also really good. It was decently portioned and delicious. The restaurant was neat and looked very organised. Hopefully they remain consistent. I highly recommend this place and would definitely frequent it.

Sandy (owner) will welcome you here personally! The updated and authentic decorè makes for a pleasent environment and the Chinese and Cantonese dishes served are the best in Ferntree Gully. The menu and drinks range is extensive and tweeks to any dish for your liking are accomodated with pleasure. There's private group dining available to suit any occasion and with generous windows giving the room breathable ambiance, it feels spacious and special. I eat here weekly, but when I do need to order home delivery, their Uber Eats option is only a 0.99 delivery charge! Every dish I have ever tried is on point and authentic. And I have eaten most of the menu 😁 Hands down, if you're after quality and the most delicious food with exeptional service, Jade Pavillion is the resturant you want.

A busy little shop that offers super delicious food at very affordable prices! They have a $10 meal option with multiple dishes, one of them is kolomie — it was generously sized, loaded with toppings, and absolutely tasty. I also tried their bitter melon pork soup with rice, which was hearty and packed with authentic flavor. Service was very quick as well. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back!
