日本菜

The traditional cuisine of Japan is based on rice with miso soup and other dishes; there is an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. Side dishes often consist of fish, pickled vegetables, and vegetables cooked in broth. Seafood is common, often grilled, but also served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also deep-fried in a light batter, as tempura.

quote This is easily one of my most favourite reviews I have ever done. Nestled away in the Hokin street shops in Safety bay / Waikiki where many have tried to become successful ,this little Sushi takeaway and dine in shop is a must have for anyone that really appreciates the opportunity to eat beautiful Japanese food for a very modest price. Run by a very warm and passionate husband and wife team (Husband being the chef) you just feel the love and passion they have feeding their customers with their amazing Japanese cuisine. I could keep going on about how good this place is but all I can say is let the photos do the talking and do yourself a favour and give it a go. You will not be disappointed I recommend the Karaagi cold noodles as a must have Good luck to the lovely owners .I cannot recommend this amazing eatery enough

quote This is the first sushi place where the chef asked that he will make anything I want if I don’t like what is available. Thos is called customer service. There is plenty of seating space. I had the salad which was awesome. There are drinks available. Sushi is in pre packaged boxes but you get something prepared if you want to. There is plenty of parking available in the area. The atmosphere is great. Nice and cozy.

quote I had a medium teriyaki chicken riceball / onigiri. It was very good and great value for money. The best I have ever had in Christchurch. Forget the mall, this is worth a detour. The shop is very clean, warm and bright. The staff are lovely. There are stool seats to eat on the run and a table for a more relaxed lunch. And takeaway of course.

quote Loved this place! Every dish tasted 10/10. Each dish had generous servings. I would go back here for sure, although maybe as takeaway next time as the ambience is a little lacking inside. I recommend the Chashu Pork Ramen.
