Our Customer Reviews

family-tea-house

quote Last night we had a birthday of 11 people, half of whom hadn't been here before. The simple review is: nothing was left over! With such a group, personal preferences were quickly accommodated. Thankyou Victoria and staff!! Throughout the night, great volume of take away, as well as tables. For me the food was just amazing. Again, we left nothing behind. Whether regular, part-timer or newbie, Victoria and staff will accommodate. Don't walk past, look at the menu or similarly online, JUST COME INSIDE AND ENJOY!

coburger-co

quote Good quality burgers at reasonable prices. We tried a selection of their burgers Makin'Bacon Duplex, Coburger with cheese, and the Korean fried chicken burger plus the Oreo Ripple shake, and the Home Made Mango Iced Tea. All were great!

jalan-alor-franklin-street

quote Amazing value for Malaysian food in CBD! If you’re looking for cheap eats, this is the place to go. There’s a good selection of dishes at just $10 with other options going up to $25. Hainanese chicken rice was quite tasty with a decent portion of chicken, although we did feel some plates had more than another (we ordered 3 serves of it). Chicken chop with egg noodles had a generous serve of meat and noodles, good flavour too. Chee cheung fun with sweet sauce had enough sauce and tasted great! Mostly cheung fun though, compared to fish ball and fish skin. Sarawak konlomee was a bit dry with not enough sauce, making the noodles white (when they should be brown in colour due to sauce) and bit tasteless. Restaurant is on the smaller end so it really is just for eating and go, turnaround is quick due to popularity. It gets quite busy during peak lunch and dinner times so be prepared to wait for a table.

la-chanh

quote La Chanh is another solid Vietnamese spot along Victoria Street with a wide range of dishes. We tried the pho and the vermicelli bowl. The pho had a light, delicious beef stock with chicken — no heavy MSG or oily feel like some other spots on the street. The noodles were okay in texture, and the chicken was cooked nicely. The vermicelli bowl was refreshing, and the chicken was cooked well. We also added a side of pork, which I felt could’ve been slightly more charred to get that smoky flavour that many places do. Overall, a decent experience and another good option along Victoria Street.
