Altona Pines Fish & Chips

After walking by the beach I stumbled upon this fish and chips place. First time visiting Altona Pine & Chips — ordered the lunch special (chips, flake and a choice of can or upgrade to a bottle which I chose the latter. Also added a potato cake to my order. Service was quick and easy, freshly cooked once you out your order in and the staff were warm and welcoming. It’s also a family business too which I love. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu

Hands down one of the best fish & chip spots! I had the burger with the lot, fried flake, grilled flake, potato cakes, chips, and even a battered Mars bar everything was unreal. Fish was fresh, chips were crispy, and the potato cakes were cooked perfectly. The burger was stacked and hit the spot. Service was awesome and there was little to no wait time, which made it even better. You can tell they know what they’re doing and care about the food they put out. Definitely coming back highly recommend!!!!

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a while. Not too greasy, fish was so fresh and souvlaki was great too!

A very good classic Aussie fish and chip shop. Visited on my sons recommendation and we ordered flake, chips and potato cakes. Everything was cooked fresh. The fish was excellent, the chips and potato cakes were great and the prices were good compared to other fish and chip shoos. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to Pines Fish & Chips a few times and it’s always reliable. The fish is fresh with a crispy, light batter and the chips are hot and well cooked. Portions are generous and not greasy, and the service is friendly and quick. Definitely a place I’d go back to.
