Absolutely amazed by the quality of fish and chips. The servings were generous and the food was delicious. We had the fish and chips, dim sims and potato cakes. We will definitely be back! Good quality fish and chips can be so hard to find. Glad we found a place that cares about their customers and provides A grade quality food and service.

We ordered potato cakes, dim sims and small chips for dinner. Everything was tasty. The amount of chips for $8 was pretty pathetic, I mean it’s only potato after all. Once we took everything out of the box and just left the chips, this is what we were left with. Disappointing

Beautiful looking chip shop. Fish was wonderfully grilled. Chip portion sizes on the small side. Important note: I was expecting actually chips not McCain chips. Should have read the reviews prior... Fish and Chips require actual potato chips processed on site. Surely there are opportunities to source potatoes locally.

We'd seen a fair bit of hype about this place on Facebook so for lunch we ordered what we'd normally order from our local place in Plenty River Estate.
Price-wise, it was $4 more expensive than our usual. Not a deal breaker.
Pros:
The place is modern and nicely decked out, they've spent a lot of money on it obviously.
The staff were nice and greeted me warmly.
The flake was plump, juicy and well cooked and came with a slice of lemon.
Cons:
The small chips from our local will feed two adults plus a 9 year old glutton with chips left over. This place it's more like a snack size for one person and yet I'm paying $2 more for them. Not impressed at all.
Everything tasted like it was cooked in old oil but it might be because they use rice bran oil. We didn't like the taste of any of it regardless. The chips and potato cakes only tasted of the oil with a little bit of potato flavour here and there.
The potato cakes and fried dim sims were overcooked to the point of being partially burnt. They were not pleasant to eat and I had to leave the large burnt chunk.
Overall we won't be back as we don't see the point in paying a bit more for worse food that's slightly further away but we gave it a shot. It looks like lots of others have had much better experiences but we did not.

"Five stars for this fish and chip shop! The atmosphere is fantastic, creating a cozy and inviting experience. Not only do they serve fresh fish, but their wide range of vegetarian and gluten-free options cater to everyone's dietary needs. A must-visit spot for delicious seafood and more!"
