Traditional Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for its fresh ingredients, minimal use of dairy and oil, complementary textures, and reliance on herbs and vegetables. Common ingredients include shrimp paste, fish sauce, bean sauce, rice, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables.
This was our second visit in 2 weeks.
The serving staff are so friendly, especially the young lady who served us today. She was very kind and thoughtful.
We ordered off the special menu - the curry combo plus the samosa and tea special.
We loved that you could swap the rice for the naans as we prefer naans.
The samosas were freshly cooked, nice and crispy on the outside and a flavoursome veg filling.
There was a little wait for the naans as these were cooked fresh to order. They were definitely worth the wait. I have to say the garlic naan is one of the best we have tasted. The naans were fluffy and the tandoori roti had a nice crisp texture. They were perfect.
All the curries were again cooked fresh. We saw the chicken tikka being put on the skewers ready to go in the tandoor. They had a lovely smokey taste and the pieces were juicy. The lamb melted in your mouth.
The karahi, jalfrezi and tikka masala had lots of large pieces of veg. All had a very generous portion of chicken and lamb in. They all had different unique authentic flavours, with a choice of spice level. All were served in lovely bowls and came out piping hot. Every dish was so tasty and was full of flavour.
The masa tea was huge and was a great way to finish the meal.
This is such a great place to have freshly cooked home cooked meals. Staff are great and the chef's were excellent.
We would highly recommend this restaurant. This is now one of our favourite restaurants. We'll worth the 20 minute drive.
We will definitely be back again soon.

Ordered via menu log. I was a little apprehensive based on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered my food about an hour earlier than I normally would have because they do have warnings on their dishes that the wait times may be long.
I called up the restaurant to double check something in my order and the guy who I spoke to on the phone was lovely and helpful. I ended up receiving my food 45 minutes later (much much sooner than I expected due to the estimated wait time).
Food was piping hot and delicious. I think that if other people do have issues with the wait time, please be patient and kind to the restaurant staff when you call in. It’s a very busy and popular place after all. There are warnings all over their menu informing you that wait times may exceed expectations, so order it earlier than you normally would, especially with large orders.

Delicious pizza. I’ve tried every type of pizza from this place. The fungi and the margarita are probably my favourite. Today I tried Genoa. Great flavours. I like how the pizza dough is not too doughy. I find that some places have really doughy pizza so you fill up with dough instead of toppings and it feels like a waste of money. But that’s not the case with Lucky’s pizza. Perfect dough to topping ratio. Reasonable price too. Perfect spot to eat after some beers at the great northern across the road. The guys cooking up the pizzas are also lovely.

We recently booked Buffet services for nearly 20 colleagues and they truly surpassed all expectations. The food was exceptional—full of flavor and incredibly fresh, with guests continuously praising how delicious each dish was. The service matched the quality of the food; the staff was professional, courteous and prompt, handling everything smoothly and efficiently. Experience was fantastic & will consider them again. 🥣🍽️🥣🍽️

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Spookers Bar & Eatery! I had reserved a table for 4 for dinner, and from the moment we walked in, the ambiance blew us away. The dark, gothic vibe mixed with cozy lighting creates the perfect setting to relax and enjoy.
We ordered a mix of dishes, and each one was a hit. The chicken burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and grilled to perfection. The veg pizza had a desi twist that was unique and delicious — crispy base, loaded toppings, and just the right amount of spice! And let’s not forget the milkshakes — both the chocolate and avocado ones were thick, creamy, and absolutely refreshing.
The quality of the food was top-notch, and the quantity was more than satisfying. Every dish was beautifully presented, served hot, and tasted even better than it looked.
Huge compliments to the team behind Spookers — from the kitchen staff to the servers, everything was on point. This place has definitely earned a top spot on my favorites list. Highly recommend for a fun, flavorful night out! 👏🍔🍕🥤
