Oh My Cod

Our fish was spectacular - crispy crunchy batter and soft fresh fish on the inside. Our chips with chicken salt and no vinegar were crunchy and tasty. Unfortunately our chips with vinegar were a bit soggy and you couldn’t tastes the chicken salt and there was a small wait. But otherwise great and we will be coming back. Definitely our local fish and chip shop.

We grabbed some takeaway fish and chips and were really impressed! The fish was super fresh, perfectly cooked, and had a light, crispy batter. The chips were hot, golden, and not too greasy—just how we like them. You can really taste the quality and care in the food. The owner was so kind and friendly, making sure everything was packed well and ready on time. Great customer service and such a welcoming vibe, even for takeaway. It’s hard to find fish and chips this good. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Hmph… Five stars to not damage local business but plenty of room to improve here. We ordered for four for pickup and while the order was a bit muddled (fried instead of grilled) we were disappointed to find how thick and oily the battered (snapper) was. It was all a bit haphazard I’m afraid, watching a very young team at the frier do their best but somewhat unguided as the orders came through on a busy evening. It’s possible I visited on an off night but some quality control could have avoided the rather messy outcome. For what was meant to be a cheat meal for the family it left us feeling like we had been a bit cheated ourselves, north of a $100. Within days we visited a Clancy’s Fish Pub to reestablish the benchmark of how a good F&C should be. Such a shame given the many good past reviews for this restaurant along with photos of the past that looked much better.

Best fish and chips. Service was amazing by every staff member! Couldn't help but overhear interactions and every patron/uber driver were paid great service and respect. Fish and chips were local, well proportioned and not too oily. Will be back !
