Our Customer Reviews
Love this cafe. It has a real retro vibe. I love the message on the mirror which can almost be a nod to 2022. The team were super friendly. Really glad that we stopped in here to have a coffee and some breakfast on our way through to the wairarapa.
Simple suburban bakery with sit down facilities.
The coffee is excellent, and the steak & pepper pie was superb, with tasty well seasoned gravy and tender chunks of steak. Temperature just right for immediate eating.
Decided to treat the children to a meal for the last night of our holiday. The lamb rump and veg was delicious, yummy!! However, my daughter's fish tasted rotten. t wasn't the type of fish like the staff member tried to tell me. But anyway, apart from that the atmosphere was good, quiet and next time we're in Taupō we'll be coming back.
Oh and the children's mocktails were so neat, a nice touch to their meal. Cute puddings, good serving size.
This place is quite cozy and welcoming but the food is a bit over priced for what you actually get on your plate. The bar snacks are over cooked frozen packet food from the closet shop. The steaks are overcooked no matter how many times you order it and the meals get forgotten. However the staff are always all lovely and the customer service is better than some places
