Mitcham Fish & Chips

Very solid fish and chips. Everything was cooked well and it definitely hit the spot. My highlight was the potato cake. Crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. I also had the steak sandwich which was loaded with ingredients. Would recommend. Sam and Cam are top blokes, friendly and considerate, especially when they were under pressure and behind on orders. It was worth the wait.

I’ve been coming here since I was 14 years old (27 now),traveling up to 30 minutes over the years to come here being the best fish shop around. I have always dreaded the day the original owners retire & it’s finally happened. Ordered my usual lunch pack & it just isn’t the same. Flake portions have halved & everything was slightly undercooked & very oily. It has been a successful, profitable fish & chips for many years so why change it. I hope you’ll read this review, observe the photos & take it on board. Plate photo is what I received on Thursday night & photo in the box is how it was a couple of months ago under original owners. Honestly heartbroken😂 really just hoping it was a busy or off night & it isn’t usually like this. might give it one more go. But if this is the quality of food the new owners are happy with, you’ll lose a lot of loyal customers that were gained over the years. Very nice staff & atmosphere, but they asked for feedback and this is it. Best of luck

Had the lunch pack. 1 pce fried flake, dim sim, potato cake and small chips for $14.00. Everything was great. Chips were perfect. Flake was really good and potato cake was fantastic.

One cannot deny there fish is FRESH and absolute Delicious for that I will give them 5/5. If there was a Google- 6 ****** then customer service, smile should not be forgotten friendliness should be essential to all people.The shop is very busy and incredibly clean.
