Went on a hump day to celebrate a friend’s birthday for dinner and boy it was jampacked! The food was great. I loved the fried fish and the salted egg chicken that is so tender and tasty. I was hoping to get some noodles but I was told they don’t serve noodles at dinners. This place is so popular it gets too busy even in the odd days so make sure you make a booking. The parking on the other hand, is a bit tricky as there’s not much car bays for the whole commercial compound let alone for the restaurant. Given the number of diners, the wait for the food wasn’t too bad. I think we only waited for 20 minutes tops. It just simply is worth your while.

As a person who eats Malay/Chinese food very often, the food is not really that good. The soy sauce of the steamed fish was incredibly bland, the butter from the Butter Chicken was way to salty and sticks to the top of your tongue, and the tom yum soup was way too salty without any taste of sourness. We had to wait around 10 minutes to order after asking the first time as there were wait staff who were incapable of taking orders. I feel like there are much better options in Perth for Malaysian food.

A very popular restaurant for Malaysian food. The food is very authentic and my personal favourites I always have to order are the tofu telur and the salted egg chicken.
It’s tough to get in without a booking though, so ensure you book well in advance, especially for big groups!
