Would have missed this if it wasn't for Google Map. Pleasantly surprised to find an Malaysian eatery above Clayton Hotel, next to the train line.
Clean and spacious restaurant, friendly service.
Food was delicious. Nice to see that I could choose the spicy level for the Mee Goreng too!
Curry chicken that came with the nasi lemak was particularly thick and not too hot.
I like that their Laksa came with a generous serve of tofu too.

Malaysia Garden Restaurant was a casual, no-frills eatery with a wide range of dishes on offer. We sampled a variety, most of which were flavourful and served in generous portions. The Hainanese chicken rice, however, lacked their iconic fragrance. Service was prompt and efficient.

April 2025: Authentic Malaysian cuisine. Very, very delicious. Friendly service. Dishes ordered are brought to the table really quickly despite a full restaurant. Really impressed with everything. Highly recommended 👍

One of the earliest restaurants specialising in Malaysian cuisine still draws a crowd notwithstanding the larger and more fancy ones, particularly in the city.
Decent food quality but inconsistent. The mixed rice was excellent while the prawn mee didn’t taste anything like, with a watery broth closer to clear soup. Though ordinary overall, the affordable prices make up for it.

Part of the Clayton hotel - this Malaysian Asian restaurant is pretty authentic.
Only a small group we ordered a vegetarian fried rice, wanted a salted fish fried noodles but over sight and turned to fried rice. Still tasty though. Had a salt pepper tofu as well and taste good. Serving was generous saw the other table else would have ordered another savoury wet dish.
Always a next time.
