On the day I went, the restaurant was quite stuffy, like they'd forgotten to turn on the air conditioning. I ordered and paid at the counter.
The chicken rice was tasty, but the rice was hard, like it wasn't cooked properly.
The price was very cheap and filling, but the quality was average.

This place is unbelievably cozy — the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is simple yet absolutely stunning, with flavours that truly dance on your palate. I had the Hainanese chicken and rice, and it was perfection: the chicken was tender, juicy, and beautifully cooked, while the rice alone was incredibly flavourful and aromatic.
I also tried the Hokkien mee noodles, which were just as impressive. The quality and quantity of protein were generous, with fresh, plump prawns that elevated every bite. To top it all off, I had their lychee drink — incredibly refreshing, lightly sweet, and absolutely delicious, the perfect complement to the meal.
The prices will genuinely surprise you — so affordable for food of this quality. Hands down, one of the best places in Melbourne, and easily a spot I could visit every single day. They even serve complimentary soup, which honestly touches your heart, and the cut chilli on the side is next-level amazing.
The staff are warm, kind, and incredibly helpful, making the whole experience even more special. I absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to return.
