At 21.45 we arrived to the restaurant & the owner was very kind & keen to serve us! We had takeaway of 3 dishes & yummy naan! The food was very good, delicate Indian taste & the prices were very good & worth the value of the great dishes! Thanks. We will come back again!

Great food with friendly, family service in a spacious restaurant with crisp white tablecloths, staff who remember your name and favourite dishes and tasty, anuthentic Indian food that never disappoints. Do yourself a favour & try this if you haven’t been before. Service is quick, but there is no pressure to be in and gone in a certain time. Great for a relaxing night out.

My husband loves Indian and he was very happy to try somewhere else other than our local. I have not been a big advocate of this cuisine, as in the past we haven’t chooses to eat Indian often because the spices can often be challenging for me. However, I am very happy to say to those of you that want to enjoy Indian that the plates can be/ are mild, the flavours are all very different and there will be one that suits you. I tried all the dishes and was very impressed. I look forward to coming again.
A very friendly chat with the owners and the ambience was a wonderful touch of the home land. Thank you.

One of the Best Rogan Josh I’ve ever had, I always get it when I try a new Indian restaurant. This place did NOT disappoint with their take on the dish. All the flavour was there and I can say that I’m pleasantly stuffed with it.

This has been my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne since I first discovered it way back, in 1994!
Over the years I brought so many friends, family, colleagues, and they all loved it!
The whole experience has been the same all these years - the service, food, atmosphere all have a feel an upscale restaurant. When you add moderate pricing to that, it certainly makes it a must visit place.
It is very hard to pick a favourite dish, as all food chef Narender makes is great. Still, i may mention a few.
My favourite dish has been, from the beginning, chicken pakora, but I would also highly recommend:
- bagare baingan (eggplant dish)
- onion chili kulcha (spicy stuffed bread).
I also have to mention friendly smiles of the owners Reeta and Narender Behl, which make you feel like you are visiting their home, rather than their business.
Highly recommended!
