Located at the perfect spot, love how the western building with a little bit of asian twist in it. Food were delicious, mapo tofu was spicy but perfect with the rice, soup dumplings are slightly dried , i meant less juicy than I expected. But the filling was tender and good nice with the vinegar. In the end we have add on the duck pancakes with taro, something i havent try before but the combination are make sense for Chinese dishes.
Sure will be back another time ☺️

Great Chinese setting and very stylish, food is cooked perfectly and authentic. Favourites are the dumplings and wontons off the entre menu, and from the mains the shanghai chicken and mushroom noodles was the most flavoursome. If in the Canterbury area I'd recommend.

Have been exploring the local area and trying new food and I’ve now come back to eat in a few times on a quiet weekend and each new thing I’ve tried has been so delicious and made with such attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients comes through. Will always come back!

It was great food really was but I think you needed to add salt to the fried rice and the tofu dish as they were very under seasoned. Regarding the sweet and sour pork and seafood combination both where great but the sauce on both where way to thick, gluey almost either way to much thickener or way over reduced. The sizzling steak was perfect. I was looking for lemon chicken but you don’t see it. Prices where way to steep for 4 dishes a rice and a starter it was $170 oh and 1 beer 2 soft drinks. Would I go back ummm probably not it’s way to expensive for food that is only 3 stars.

This restaurant, situated in the heart of Canterbury boasts of a Shanghai chef who has mastered the art of cooking the perfect beef brisket and slow-cooked pork hock.
The aroma that emanates from the kitchen is a treat for the senses. Even before my meal arrived, I could smell the fragrant spices and herbs that were being used to prepare my food. When the dishes arrived at the table, it was as if my tastebuds had suddenly woken up! The beef brisket was tender and juicy, and had a depth of flavour that left me speechless. The slow-cooked pork hock was just as delicious, with the meat simply falling off the bone.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is simply enchanting. The decor is beautifully done and transports you back in time.
