Yen Yen Chinese Kitchen

Every time I visit Yen Yen’s, I’m greeted like an old friend, they even know my name when I order my favourite king prawn omelette. The service is always so welcoming and genuine, and my meals are consistently fresh, tasty, and absolutely moreish. My fave way to spend a quiet Saturday night in. You can really tell they care about both their food & their customers. A local gem!

From a Perth local this is the nicest tasting fried rice it reminds me of home and the wontons are so fantastic, I got sent a wonton soup instead of my wontons one time and the staff where so happy and friendly and just said to call in next time I ordered, definitely the best I’ve found so far with customer service and timed delivery. Came here recently for a quick dinner. I didn’t really enjoy the food when I tried it long time ago. But they must have done something differently because the recent reviews are promising, and our experience proved them right! I really really enjoy the Bak Kut Teh. It’s packed full of flavour. One of the nicest Bak Kut Teh I had in Perth. And its served over a candle to keep it warm throughout our meal time. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend this. Our other dishes were nice too. You can tell that the chef knows what they are doing. It was cooked nicely. Tasted fresh. Decent flavours. Service was quick and they were quite attentive and friendly too. The only thing to be mindful was we think serving is slightly smaller than expected. Me and my wife shared the Bak Kut Teh, Garlic Vegs and Peking Spare Ribs.. and we were still feeling hungry after. Either that or we were just hungry or food tasted so good we wanted more… or combinations of all those! Regardless, we were happy with our dinner and looked forward to returning again!

I have been wanting to leave a review but keeps on forgetting. I really love this restaurant. Nothing beats their Hainase chicken rice. It is the perfect one for me. Chicken are juicy and soft, soup is tasty and unlike the others that taste like a diluted broth cube powder, rice is tasty and soft and not salty. I have been trying to taste different kinds of Chicken rice and nothing beats theirs. Customer service is superb as they have a personal touch with their customers especially their regulars (like me). Always giving their best service and all smiles. Will keep on coming back and my favorite restaurant.

An amazing place to have a quick bite, or a delicious tatse of Perth Malaysian dishes. We ordered the combination fried kwayteow, chef's special beed brisket clay pot and the crispy skin chicken with vinegar sauce. The taste was immaculate, and just right. Highly recommend to anyone in the Southern River area. Owner is very nice, and service is fast. Well dserved 5 star
