Japanese

The traditional cuisine of Japan is based on rice with miso soup and other dishes; there is an emphasis on seasonal ingredients. Side dishes often consist of fish, pickled vegetables, and vegetables cooked in broth. Seafood is common, often grilled, but also served raw as sashimi or in sushi. Seafood and vegetables are also deep-fried in a light batter, as tempura.

quote I had the best salmon eggs Benedict in a long time! The salmon was fresh, the bread was toasted to perfection, and the eggs were soft, runny, and delicious. The coffee was unlike anything I’ve had before; it just hits differently. The ladies who served us were fantastic, and the pricing was great too. I paid $24 for the salmon eggs Benedict, which is much better than the $28 to $30 I’ve seen at other places. They certainly know how to treat their customers right. I’ll definitely be coming back! 😋

quote Popped in for a morning tea as a break whilst merchandising in The Warehouse next door. Had a lemon curd muffin and medium mocha. The muffin was fantastic, no hunting for the lemon curd it was beautiful and the coffee was great too. Decently priced and such lovely friendly staff. I wish there were more of these in Tauranga.

quote This place serves a good range of Chinese dishes. Their dumplings are probably the highlight. Also tried their chicken wonton noodles, it was average. They also have a good selection of dessert drinks here from bubble tea to traditional Chinese teas. The price point on the food is really decent, especially. $15-16 for a whole plate of dumplings is awesome value for money. Also they accept amex here !

quote The sushi rolls are generously packed and of high quality. They offer a wide variety of options, including fish, meat, and vegetarian rolls. On top of that, the prices are reasonable and offer great value for money. Hands down the best sushi shop I have been to in New Zealand.
