The Springs Fish & Chips

Was craving a fish and chip shop burger.. typed “fish and chips” in maps and this place came up. Was sooo satisfied! First of all the chips were PERFECT! Seasoned so well!! Then the burger was great too!! Didn’t fall apart how some from other show usually do.. but this one was perfect! Brioche bun, Egg was slightly runny, perfect amount of sauce. $18 for a burger pack which is slightly on the expensive side but I was so satisfied! The lady who served us was also very lovely! Also my nieces said the slurpies are the best here! Definitely would recommend! 🤩💌

Had to stop by and meet the famous Kathy and try the goods - herself and the team have a humble homey feeling very friendly and chatty and the food is fire! Portion was huge! I don't normally eat fish and chips anymore coz they all the same sht e.g potatoless potato cakes and fish as flat as paper. This place though - thickest piece of fish, Potato cakes were like 98% potato in a perfectly crispy batter, everything well cooked and none of that stale fishy aftertaste. Its simple, fresh and quality which is everything you need for a fish n chip fix.

I’m guessing they have new owners but all I can say is far better than the last person who run the shop. The chips are 100% better then before, love the crab sticks(gotta love how it’s called that on the menu) fluffy, not heavy and the batter is great, the flake is far better now, the batter frankfurter was great, home made potato cakes are the best I’ve had so far out in the west and it seems to have better quality of oil didn’t make us feel sick afterwards. Great job guys! Definitely support local guys!

Me and my girlfriend popped on a Monday night after our local fish and chip shop was closed. We were greeted with friendly owners who assisted us with the menu and recommendations. Inside was a very typical fish and chip shop however very clean and well maintained. We ordered the double pack which included 2x fish of the day (whiting in which one was switched for flake($2+)), 2 potato cakes, 2 dim sim, 2 canned drinks and a generous portion of chips all for $35 which was reasonably priced for the freshly made food. Additionally, one of the owners veeran ensured we were well accommodated double checking the order, making it in a timely manner and offering us fresh lemons. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again definitely.

We don’t normally give reviews. But we had too because the food was awesome. We’ve had fish and chips here before, probably sometime last year, and they were good, but today it was great! Could not fault! Flake was amazing! Chips were perfect with extra chicken salt like we asked! Potato cakes were thick and crispy. Super happy as we are locals!
