crazy-saloon

quote This is one of the rare dining places in St Lucia. The owner is an Italian named Antonio. So I tried pizza. Margharita pizza was very delicious and filling. And I ate wedges with it. All the food he cooks is suitable for halal food.

quote I have been going to Asian Lilly for close to 30 years. I have no complaints with the service or food, it’s always good, however something has changed recently with their pricing. $53 for 2 soups, a serve of dim sims and some plain noodles of the side. You generally get them for free at Ramen places however at Asian Lilly a side serve of noodles is $11! It’s very sad as the food is good, but with those prices, we won’t be back unfortunately

quote Second time ordering. Food is good. Great portion. Not too much msg. Nice vegetables. Quick service. Only negative is the first time i ordered sweet and sour pork, the sauce wasn't great, too watery and not enough acidity. So opted for no sauce the second time. Food can be inconsistent.

quote Very homely place! It does look outdated but clean and organised. We were welcomed at the door by a lovely lady. Meals were even better than we expected, tasty and generously portioned.

quote There's nothing fancy about this restaurant. It's overly bright, too bright. But the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is good. Clean with lots of fresh vegetables. It's BYO so grab your drinks from a couple of doors up. It's very reasonably priced with my favourite chilli chicken coming with steamed rice.

quote This is the best Uyghur style chinese food in the Brisbane area outside of Sunnybank. The spicy sour rice noodles are excellent. The noodles are thick, similar to the Taiwanese rice noodle style, with fresh cucumber, peanuts, chicken, and lots of garlic. The noodles are perfectly cooked to the firm yet smooth texture and the dish, served cold, is a nice, suprisingly refreshing, spicy meal. The homemade noodles with lamb are also quite good. But the stars are the meat skewers and noodle soups. The skewers are the classic Uyghur style with lots of cumin. The broth is so rich. Its amazing to have this place so close to the University. While there are places that do some of these dishes better in Sunnybank, you need to take multiple buses from the University to get to those. Its a little mom and pop place, and the guy serving is nice. You order from a tablet, as I think there are only two people working at this restaurant at any one given time. Its amazing what they pull off as just a tiny family place. Parking can be challenging if you drive here. It can also be slow at times (but fast at other times), and tables often aren't cleared, but if you are here, you probably weren't driving. You're here for the unique and delicious food within walking distance of work or study. Hard to beat this local place. I have no idea why the star rating is so low. Maybe people are expecting fine dining service in a little mom and pop shop. Its honestly quite puzzling.
