The Canberra OG Roast Inn #IYKYK my go to for roast duck and BBQ pork. Quick, fast, tasty. Been eating here over 30+ years and I used to work next door when it was Firestone, miss the OG owner faces but glad the food is still top notch!

Went for the Laksa and it was excellent.
The staff were friendly. It's a small space to eat in, but we didn't have to wait for a table. It has a classic small Asian/Chinese restaurant feel. I really liked it. Will definitely go again :)

In the restaurant window as you enter is an array of freshly cooked roast duck, BBQ pork, pork belly and Chinese sausage. You are greeted by the owners and hopefully you can find a table that's available. The restaurant is often full of diners and busy.
The atmosphere is a simple affair. Modern dining tables and chairs with simple Chinese crockery and cutlery. It is cosy feel though romantic is not. You are hear to eat and satisfy your hunger. Orders are taken quickly and dishes are prepared and served quickly.
There's a specials board on the wall and also printed. The menu caters for all tastes from noodles to rice, meat, seafood and vegetables dishes. There is chilli oil available on request. Noodles can be ordered in both crispy and soupy versions. I could keep describing the dishes though it's better that you visit to find out and enjoy it yourself.
Tak Kee Roast Inn is affordable, cheerful and good value. Great tasting home style food. Friendly and quick service.

I went to the restaurant with my friends to celebrate one’s birthday party and i think we had a pretry good meal. We ordered 5 dishes and all come quickly and have great portions, in addition to good price. The roasted ducks and pigs really blew out my mind with its crispy skin and flavourful sauce. The jelly fish salad and the special fried rice is also nice too. However, the rock salt soft shell crabs was so salty that I ended up having additional steamed rice to fit with. Besides, the octopus was not so spicy as we expected. Anyway, thank you for delicious food and i’ll come again and try the rest of your menu.
