Recently visited this place as it looked very appealing when it was getting built and I love the classic Singaporean chicken rice. Although the food was good, it wasn’t up to mark to the classic chicken rice. The soup was bland and rice wasn’t as flavourful. And unfortunately my partner was almost finished with his meal before my meal even came out with no acknowledgement or clarity as to why.
Might wait awhile before I try this place again.

The new food option in Balwyn sounds quite enticing for a delightful meal. It seems wise to arrive promptly, as the popularity of the place often leads to a queue. Remember to bring cash along, especially when visiting on weekends. This is due to the additional charge applied for card payments during that time. Overall, it sounds like a place worth trying out.

The noodles had plenty of wok hei. The braised meat and noodles were ok. The white radish was terrible. The food is alright but not a standout. The floor was so wet could have easily slip.

Very average food. The items on the menu are easily available in the countless Singapore/Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne. Many of these restaurants serve up better tasting food. There was a queue before the shop opened but I am guessing it’s only because it’s a new joint. The test would be 6 months later. The signature chicken rice was decent but not spectacular. The rice was neither fragrant nor tasty enough. The best part was the de-boned chicken pieces which made it easy to eat. Singapore Hokkien Prawn Mee was runny and had the wrong type of chilli sambal. And if you’re looking forward to the Singapore style Char Kway Teow, you would be disappointed. Back Chor Mee can simply be ignored.

Nice place, friendly staffs and tasty food. Sitting area is a bit tight, visited on a Tuesday night, not so busy, food was served quickly.
