Shah-Jahan Indian (Coolangatta)

The food is absolutely delicious. Chef Meet,is such a wonderful host and chef. He explained to us about a few dishes,and when each dish was delivered it had it's own distinct flavour and each was presented with such pride. Delicious, delicious, delicious I've already gone back there few days later. It's a very unassuming restaurant. Give it a try you'll enjoy the food and service at the same time. Thank you Meet for a fantastic time

The restaurant was empty on arrival so the food came out quickly with great service. I ordered the house curry which was the Shah-Jahan and it was without doubt one of the most flavoursome curries I have ever had. My partner had the Malai Kofta and the texture and flavour of this dish was outstanding. There is only one dessert on the menu and it finished off the meal perfectly. The restaurant is on the back street of Cooly so most people won’t even find it as they choose the beachside restaurants. I would strongly recommend Shah Jahan if you like curry so don’t let the position put you off especially if you are a foodie.

We are huge Indian food fans. I’m Indian myself so I’m fussy, but my husband who is hard to please is even fussier than I! And this place is by far the best restaurant in Coolangatta/Tweed area for Indian cuisine! The lady who owns the restaurant is also super sweet, warm and has excellent customer service. Highly recommend to try! I accidentally reviewed the wrong restaurant initially so if you see the same review on another restaurant, this is actually the one I meant to review 😅

Lovely Indian Restaurant Located on Griffith Street Coolangatta. Has Inside and Outdoor Seating. Very good Menu Options. Had the Shah Jahan Lamb Curry. Wonderful flavours and a Generous Serving Size. Friendly, Helpful and Efficient Service. Great Value for Money. Good Location in the Quieter Part of Cooly.

Hats off to the team, on the way back from tropical fruit world our parents were completely exhausted and the only need was ‘cup of tea’. Almost every Indian restaurant denied to serve us saying it’s not in the menu but Shah Jahan team welcomed us and the tea taste was superb. Millions of thanks.
