We have struggled to find a decent Chinese restaurant that reminds me of my childhood. We often find that other places are too sweet in their sauces and the sweet and sour pork is normally 80% batter . This is not the case in this review
We ordered:
- special fried rice
- chicken and cashew
- sweet and sour pork
- The rice was perfect and has the right amount of combination ingredients, veggies, meat and prawns(shrimp) with a slight charcoal bbq flavor from the wok firing I assume.
- the chicken and cashew was cooked well with the right amount of chicken and cashews
- the poor was lightly battered and cooked well and the sauce was sweet but also had some bit too it
Highly recommended if your looking for a decent Chinese takeaway like the good old days

Pick up order - & food ready and waiting when I arrived. . Good quality food, as always.…
Sizes have gotten smaller although the prices have increased. Was a little surprised to spend $95 for (2 people) and only four dishes (which included a rice) and not get a complimentary bag of prawn crackers…
Dont forget your bag to carry your food home!

Well cooked and delicious flavours. Also appreciated that each dish had a good amount of vegetables within the sauce. Will definitely order from again.

Great neighbourhood Chinese restaurant serving decent HK-style Chinese cuisines at a very reasonable price. I was fortunate enough to have a long chat with the owner and head chef and learnt a lot about the history of this restaurant. Staff were all friendly as reported by other reviewers. Highly recommended.
