Saigon Express Restaurant

Searched for restaurants in nth hobart, most were full of customers. Found this small unassuming diner"Saigon express" three of them in the main drag. Chose the unlicenced middle one . On first appearance it looked quite drab, noticed a seafood sizzling hot plate advertised without noodle or rice for $27. WELL , did I get MORE than I had expected... Prawns ,squid seared with fresh red capsicum ,ginger, spring onion shallots, brocolli, cauliflower,carrot along with the most delicious stock/ sauce. All cooked too an absolute perfect level still alldente and juicy. I asked about byo and was told yes and not even charged corkage!. Sometimes, looks can be deceiving, I would recommend this authentic Vietnamese diner for any person looking for a fresh / healthy dinner without the pomp and ceremony that most upmarket restaurants base their menu prices on. I will return too try out many of my other Viet dishes featured on the expansive menu... Staff are all friendly Darlings xx

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The service was excellent from start to finish. Every staff member was attentive, warm and welcoming. The food quality was outstanding — fresh, flavourful and beautifully prepared. I truly appreciated that everything was 100% halal, giving us complete peace of mind. Portions were generous and served with care. The ambience was comfortable and inviting, perfect for families and friends. Everything arrived on time and exactly as ordered. Their professionalism and kindness made the visit even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and great service. I will definitely be returning!
