The cuisines of the Aegean, Marmara and Mediterranean regions are rich in vegetables, herbs, and fish. Central Anatolia has many famous specialties, such as keşkek, mantı (especially from Kayseri) and gözleme. Food names directly cognate with mantı are also found in Chinese (mantou or steamed bun) and Korean cuisine (mandu).

quote 5 Stars – A Must-Visit! Sultans Kebabs and Grill is hands down one of the best spots for a satisfying meal! The food is consistently fresh, flavourful, and generously portioned. I struggled to finish the Mixed Grill. It was a lot of food. Chicken was juicy, tender, flavourful. Lamb was perfectly cooked with the perfect pink strip right in the middle. Yum!!! Adana…this one is really…really good!!! Fresh, perfect balance of salty elements with parsley, capsicum, spices… very tasty. Rice…perfect, salads very nice… If I had to be nitpicking, I would add a little extra salad dressing and a slice of lemon on side. You definitely get your money’s worth here. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Service is fast and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. Whether you’re after a quick bite or a full meal, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and great service! Oh by the way, very clean place, which in my books is the most important and the sign of a serious business that is striving for the best! Well done!

quote I visited Kebab Zone Flagstone for the first time this week, after walking out of a competitor's store empty-handed (see my review for details). Straight up, I was hugely impressed and optimistic the minute I entered. Latif, the owner and lifelong kebab master, was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to chat while he worked. The store itself was immaculately clean, and I was really impressed by the unique and innovative handwashing station on the side wall. As for the food, and coming from someone who rarely indulges in anything in the takeaway/fast food realm, everything was excellent. The chicken kebab was sizeable, flavoursome, fresh and, importantly, not oily at all. This was a kebab that ate easily, sat comfortably in my tummy (none of the usual 'concrete block' good times!) and tasted great. The chips were also good. In summary, KZF is an impressive business with friendly, efficient service and fantastic food. The next time I'm up for a naughty lunch, this will definitely be top of the list. Keep up the great work, thanks again.

quote I have never visited the physical store but I have ordered several times online. I love Mediterranean food! I'd always get tasty meats, other ingredients and sauces that blend so well. They serve generously as well. I let my friends taste their Iskender one time and they loved it too! Added to my favorites!

quote My partner and I stopped by Sumak after being recommended to eat there by a friend, and couldn’t be more impressed! Arriving with a craving for Mediterranean food, and greeted by such warm and friendly service, we had to try a bit of everything: We started with the soups(!) - lentil soup and lamb soup. Both were delicious and hearty without being heavy. My only wish is that the weather was colder (dare I say), as either would be the perfect cosy meal! The mixed grill platter was the star of the show! Every meat was cooked tender over charcoal, full of flavour, and the platter was so generous for the price point - especially compared to similar restaurants in Brisbane. In our experience, it was an ample portion to share between at least two hungry people. The sides and salads are worth it. We got to try several dips, which you can just taste are made with love everyday. My favourite was the carrot dip, which had a subtle sweetness, but the eggplant dip and hummus were also exemplary. The pomegranate seeds added a sweet zing to the cabbage salad and the acidity complimented the smoky flavours of the shish - a perfect combo! The Sumak space itself packs in plenty of undercover seating amongst a beautiful leafy pocket so close to the QUT campus! There’s also plenty of street parking available, but during busy periods there is always underground parking across the street at Woollies (2 hours free). Sumak is a must-try!
