Take away shredded duck fried rice was tasty, duck quite dry though. Chicken satay juicy but sauce flavor just not to my liking really, nothing wrong with it, just not what I expect from satay sauce. Good service, prices reasonable.
“Almost” our favourite Chinese Restaurant in the FTG area. Good food, service very good, friendly staff, make dining there a pleasant experience.
Fantastic Chinese food, been there twice unfortunately we live interstate
First meal out after the “freedom day” announcement from lockdown.
We were looking for some nice Chinese based food and we weren’t disappointed.
On entry, we loved the enthusiasm of the gentlemen that greeted and seated us after checking our vax status.
The venue is a clean and open space with nice Chinese ornaments etc as expected.
The menu is broad with pretty much every flavour you need if chasing a Chinese meal.
Hot sour soup
Chicken and mushroom soup
Half Peking duck (big and not inner city slivers in pancakes)
Combination soft noodle
Meals were delicious, ample and came out quick.
Please note that the duck isn’t little slivers that most would be familiar with and you could almost just have these as your main with a rice.
The combination noodle (soft) are egg/canton noodles and not the wide rice noodles (Ho fan) that you’d mostly know but was loaded with meat, prawn and calamari.
The soups were delicious and the wife and I are still disputing which was the best of the two.
Overall a great experience with efficient and friendly staff. Glad to see the turn over of take away and the max capacity here as we get back to normalcy. We left here happy and full (to the point of bursting).
To the blonde woman at the table of seven, signing in isn’t a new rule and it was pleasing to see the old man let you know no sign in, no cert, no eat! We were glad to see him applying the rules of which we all live under to get back to it and support our local businesses.
Thanks to all of the staff, especially with the help with the “doggy bag” to take away the remaining food. We will definitely be back to try more of your already tasty menu.
The food was good. We ordered ahead for Chinese new year and the portions were well priced. The staff were friendly but in an effort to make us feel comfortable... Actually achieved the opposite.
I was with little children and because one of the staff wanted to play around with the child, he made a joke that he would give the child food, and trade for the electronic device he was playing on. He took the device and pretended to hide it before returning it to their mother.
I understand he was just trying to be kind but you shouldn't be touching the diner's belongings and then serving food to us and others. You don't know where your guests have been or what they've touched. The child was no stranger to touching the ground and picking their nose...
And especially in the middle of a pandemic. It's unhygienic and bad practice. Don't touch the patron's belonging if you're serving food.
The child also seemed uncomfortable because he didn't understand the "joke". Even though the food was good, it just rubbed me the wrong way.
