Thai cooking places emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and a spicy edge. Today Thai food is its own, with a special unique blend of the 5 tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy.
A small food place in the neighbourhood of Flat Bush. Serves nice steamed buns and hot soy milk. Price is reasonable and portion is decent. The guy at the counter is super friendly too!

Lunchtime!
We are into sammies sp that's what we focused on.
Small white bread club sammy - lettuce/egg/ham. Lovely lot of egg & dressing. Nothing to stick to anchor the lettuce on one side or the ham on the other......
My veg sammy was was wholemeal bread, lettuce & beetroot. Again no butter/margarine.
Lovely cappuccino that was brought to us.

Good place to have a bite. The buns are always good; get the cabbage and red bean buns. Their fried dumplings are also delicious; we love the pork and chives, which I highly recommend. Overall OK but not that impressive.

Nice local cafe with good coffee and decent food, just a little overpriced for the portion sizes. Clean and cozy atmosphere but could do with some music. Service was reasonable but could be more friendly and attentive. Fine for a coffee stop.

Momma Fe Cantina Café is our go-to spot for amazing Filipino food! We ordered their iconic pork sisig, pork BBQ, sinigang, salted egg salad, halo-halo, and everything was absolutely delicious. The sisig was my favorite: flavorful, perfectly seasoned, not too greasy, and so satisfying. The halo-halo was the perfect ending, it was creamy, crunchy, refreshing, and not overly sweet.
The service is great, and the restaurant has a warm, homey vibe. It can get busy, so I recommend booking a reservation ahead and preordering your favorite dishes. Parking can be limited, so it’s good to have a plan B if the on-site spots are full.
Overall, such a fantastic place whether you’re after a coffee, a hearty family meal, or just craving authentic Filipino flavors. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem located on Dominion Road with lots of traditional Asian delights. It’s our go to stop whenever we’re there and the food never disappoints. So far we’ve tried their noodle dishes, wontons, black pepper beef on rice etc. Service can be slightly slower at times but not overly bad. Toilets are upstairs and is only accessible via the steep flight of stairs so might not be convenient for the elderly. Parking is minimal outside due to the time restrictions however there are plenty across the road along the neighbouring streets.
