I must say, this Malaysian restaurant offers great value for money. Most of their main courses cost only $10, and both the flavor and portion are really satisfying. If you plan to eat here, I recommend coming early. Otherwise you might have to wait in a long line

November 2025: I am a Level 7 contributor (>400 reviews) on Google and provide an unbiased feedback on eateries and experiences both in Asia and Melbourne.
This is a small restaurant in Chinatown on Little Bourke Street between Russell and Exhibition Streets. The nearest train station is Parliament. The seating arrangement feels cramped but I was here for the food.
I have a craving for fish🐟 fillet noodle soup and I paid $17.50. It was a huge portion, with 6 big pieces of fried fish. The fish tasted like basa, instead of rockling. The soup has a light creamy texture because of the addition of evaporated milk. I didn't taste MSG in the soup. There were also 2 sour plums which tasted very sour. The ginger was coarsely cut. Overall, I like the taste but would have preferred thin slices of ginger.
Taste wise, it's on par with Laksa King's fish noodle soup, but cheaper. A surcharge applies in weekends and public holidays, waived upon cash payments.
I waited quite a while for my dush to come even though I ordered before 5 pm on a week day. They have too many online orders.
I came back days later on a Sunday to try the Hainanese chicken🐔 rice and rice rolls with sweet sauce. Each dish costs $10, on cash payment. There were many here who raved about the chicken rice. My opinion: the chicken pieces were not as tender as other venues because the ones that were served to me came from the thighs. I still prefer the Hainanese chicken rice at Kakilang. The rice was fragrant and delicious. At $10, this is a satisfying meal with generous portions. The rice rolls were delicious too with fish🐟 cake slices and 2 fish 🐟balls.

August 2025: What a great find. Was walking along the lane towards Glenferrie train station when I noticed this restaurant. Apparently, it opened only 6 months prior. I am local and was not aware of this new establishment. Very pleased to see this restaurant in this location.
The Penang White Curry Mee is not a dish you find in most Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne. I was pleasantly surprised to see a photo of this dish (amongst other great dishes) on their front wall. That's not all, it is priced much less than asian dishes prior to 2020. Congratulations to the owners of this restaurant for making it affordable for students and locals alike who seek out & enjoy genuine Malaysian Chinese cuisine.
Will definitely be back to sample all the other dishes with friends.
The staff members are very friendly and attentive. They will answer any questions you may have with a smile. I really enjoyed dining here. I highly recommend this restaurant 👌

Great pho with clean flavourful taste without the nasties. Broth is amazing without msg. Ingredients are generous and well prepared. Restaurant is clean and the kitchen is opened to be seen and very much clean and tidy. Well run and great pho! The fat and beef pho was very well made and yummy.

Just got take out here and was pleasantly surprised that it was given with a free tote bag and a complementary rice pudding! Best range of vegan and veg options in the area as well and wonderful variety of food! 10/10 recommend!
