This has to be one of the better bbq chooks I've had!!
I was in Melton for work and thought I'd give them a crack!!
I bought the 1/4 school and chips pack and tried a piece of their fried cook also.
The charcoal chicken is awesome,very well seasoned with the classic BBQ crispy skin and very moist yum!
The chips are crunchy and very well seasoned.
The fried cook was a bit of a let down though.
It was nice a juicy but not greasy.
The problem is the seasoning, there isn't much at all!!
Maybe use the same love when you season the BBQ chook when doing fried👍
The coleslaw is rather refreshing.
Alot like KFC coleslaw but not over dressed and sickly sweet, just nice and refreshing.
This is an awesome little place and I will go again when I'm in Melton again!!

Having eaten at KFC and other chicken places over the years, I’ve found myself driving 40 minutes out to melton on more than one occasion to get the real deal, fresh fried chicken, lovely tangy sauce, burgers and the little cute bean salad, try it, you’ll never go back to KFC. To the staff at Ollie’s, please stay independent at all costs, and expand to a new store in south east Queensland when I live now, you’ll do well up here we love our quick and easy tasty fresh food! Carls did well here as did Wendy’s, time to set up shop? I
Visit when ever I am in Melbourne, but that’s not too often these days, I miss you guys, been going for 20 years you’re the best!

Me and my workmates Have had Ollie’s heaps of times and honestly it’s only ever been good or excellent. We always get tasty chicken that’s not full of grease, burgers are fresh and have a lovely big crumbed chicken breast and the chips are hot, crunchy and seasoned. The Ollie’s sauce is also terrific, it’s sweet, tangy and tastes amazing. Really hard to believe some of these reviews of 1 star, I think it’s just hard to please people or people trying to steer customers in their direction to their own food truck/business. Yes the place is a bit old and looks a little grubby in areas but the foods amazing and the prices are fair/on par with the others like kfc/red rooster and you get more at Ollie’s.

I haven’t had Ollie’s chick in years and today I got served by this lovely girl who had outstanding customer service. She was so kind and made us feel so welcomed, she’s definitely a keeper. 👍😀
