We pulled up to get a last minute dinner on our trip to Melbourne & looked at the reviews after we had already sat down. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was delicious, though the restaurant was empty, I’d say they had a decent 5-6 uber takeaway orders in the first 10 minutes we were there.
I haven’t had imperial beef (rainbow beef) in nearly 12 years & I wasn’t disappointed. The chicken was succulent & the prawns were decent in number.
For someone who also doesn’t cope well in loud environments, it was a really nice & relaxed atmosphere. Hats off to the chef, who not only made a lovely meal, was really kind & respectful to his staff. Give this place a try!

We stopped in for lunch. Opted for the take away special but went with the eat in option.
It was nice, I had the satay chicken with fried rice.
We were the only ones in the restaurant and it did feel a little that we were an imposition, we were there right on 12.
It was cold in the restaurant, but the staff put the heater on and it warmed up after about 15 minutes.
If you take away the lunch special it is $13.80 but eat in was $17.80.
The serve was generous without being too much and the fried rice was yummy.
The bathrooms are down a long corridor where furniture is stored. The bathrooms themselves could do with a bit of clean but they serve the purpose.
The staff were cutting broccoli in the restaurant. I have no qualms about the freshness.

Had lunch here and we had:
sweet and sour chicken
beef with vegetables
honey chicken
fried rice
prawn crackers
Two cans of soft drink
It came to a total of $90 but we were able to take it home and get dinner for two people plus lunch for one the next day from the leftovers.
The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and it was quiet. Only one other table had two people sitting down to eat but there were numerous takeaway orders done while we were there.
We enjoyed our meal and the food was hot, fresh and quite nice. The only two notes that we really had about our food was:
1. The prawn crackers could have been cooked a bit better
2. In the sweet and sour chicken the onion is raw. You can't even call it undercooked because it was a pure crunch when you bite into it and the absolute taste of raw onion. I didn't mind this so much once I knew it was like that but my Mum avoided the onion completely once discovered.
Neither of these two things would stop me going back at all. If your in the Ballarat area and want Chinese it is a good option.
