We went to Lee Palace to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our young children and had such a wonderful dinner! 💕 We ordered three main dishes — Hor Fun Saucy Chicken, Sizzling Japanese Tau Foo, and Fried Whole Fish — plus desserts: Sago with Coconut Cream and Lychee & Ice Cream 🍮🍧
Our kids absolutely loved every dish! The portions were generous, everything was tasty and super delicious 😋
To be honest, this restaurant has been our family’s go-to place for birthdays and celebrations for the past 20 years, ever since they first opened. The atmosphere, ambiance, food taste, and service have all remained just as amazing as day one. Nothing has changed — and that’s what we love about it! ❤️ We’ll definitely be coming back again next time! 🙌

Chinese takeaway inside South Lake’s shopping centre’s food hall. The area is a bit sad. Average pricing. Had a good selection of classic Chinese food. My sweet & sour fish was very generous in serving and well done. My husband’s special fried rice was tasteless. He needed to add soy sauce to it.

What we ordered we ate all. By far, one of the better ones we had. Even better than the Chinatown ones. No regrets coming here. You should try! Everything tastes good

Food is pretty and reasonable price. Restaurant ambience is basic. Good place to have a family dinner or with friends.

Further update.
February 2025.
We just keep returning because they are CONSISTENT. The meals are fresh, tasty, presentable and it reminds me of HOME.
I am so glad that their standard and professionalism never change, still at its best!
We enjoyed our dinner so much! Loved it.
Delicious and impressive.
We shall continue to return, and I encourage everyone to try their dishes.

The review below was about a year old. Now it is January 2024, and we keep coming back. We love this place. They are consistent with their menu. Amazing. Delicious.
My only complaint, we went there one day, and the Google map said it was open and they were closed. Was sooooo sad. I was craving and missing their food.
But we returned again the following week, and they were open. Thank God. My Happy Place for Filipino food.

Very modern cooking of Filipino cuisine. Had an amazing experience. We had dinner for two, it wasn't crowded at all but we booked for two in advance. As the night went by, people started arriving.
We didn't wait long, dishes came out in a timely manner, and we were not disappointed. The crunchy pork belly kare kare was so creamy and smooth. It was arranged so beautifully. The creamy kare kare sauce is so tasty, light, and fluffy. It was different than other kare kare I have tasted and even cooked. It looks like all items such as the meat and veggies were cooked individually as well as the creamy sauce and placed together in harmony. The bagoong was light and it complimented the kare kare.
The pork sinigang, too, was very fresh, and broth was light and tasty. Not overpowering sour. Although I love very sour. My partner likes it mildly. The pork meat was so tender, and it melted in your mouth.
We also had pork barbecue. It was so tasty and tender, too. It was perfect with the chop suey. Vegies was crunchy and saucy. Very fresh, too. It had small pieces of pork. I like it. Though I would have loved it if they put some prawns or some quail eggs. Overall, it's not bad.
Their halo halo was very simple but so delicious. The shaved ice suited the tasty ice cream and morsels of sweetened fruits. It was so yummy but not too heavy.
We will come back. The restaurant is quite new, I hope they retain their standards.

As a longtime regular at Nishi, I already had high expectations going into my first teppanyaki booking. I’m glad to say it did not disappoint one bit.
The chef’s friendliness and skill shone through but not just in style but in pure culinary artistry. His performance was both entertaining and impressive, flipping bottles, doing trick shots, and showcasing to us refined techniques while cooking at the same time.
Every dish was great. The scallops, salmon, and lobster were all nicely prepared, but the real standout for me was the fried rice. It exceeded expectations. The wok hei was unmistakable, and each grain was perfectly seasoned to deliver a savoury and fragrant burst of flavour with every bite.
Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience that balanced entertainment, skill, and taste perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an enjoyable and high-quality teppanyaki night.
